This week marks the start of the Olympus US Open Series as first round matches start in Atlanta, Georgia at the Atlantic Tennis Championships on July 18th. If you're still clinging to the clay court season, you'll be happy to learn the ATP World Tour event in Hamburg, Germany is being played on the red stuff. Julia Goerges and Jarmila Gajdosova out at Austria

On Monday, 1st-seed Julia Goerges and 2nd-seed Jarmila Gajdosova traveled to the side of Stubnerkogel mountain in Bad Gastein, Austria. The two took part of a stunt for Sony Ericsson that saw them rally on a mini-tennis court with barely room to move. The cameras were rolling as the duo hit tennis balls and they had to be blown away by the breathtaking surroundings, but the two players weren't rolling on Tuesday as they both bowed out of the Nürnberger Gastein Ladies 11 event in Bad Gastein,…

American John Isner broke the 34 year old “Casino Curse” by winning the Campbell’s Hall of Fame Championships title at Newport, Rhode Island in a straight set victory against Olivier Rochus 6-3, 7-6(6).
