- STUTTGART, Germany - The final was only the second this year to feature two unseeded players, after Halle, Germany. Ferrero was able to secure his 16th career title.
- PALERMO, Italy - Anabel Medina Garrigues won her 11th career WTA Tour title. She ties Vera Zvonareva for ninth among active players). 10 of her titles were on clay and no active players have matched that title total.
- BAD GASTEIN, Austria - Unseeded players now 9-10 in WTA Tour finals in 2011.
- BAD GASTEIN, Austria - Lucie Hradecka has won ALL the Bad Gastein doubles tournaments she's played so far. She's accumulated five titles with three different partners. Her overall doubles record in Bad Gastein is 19-0 with one walkover.
