Julia Goerges and Jarmila Gajdosova out at Austria

On Monday, 1st-seed Julia Goerges and 2nd-seed Jarmila Gajdosova traveled to the side of Stubnerkogel mountain in Bad Gastein, Austria. The two took part of a stunt for Sony Ericsson that saw them rally on a mini-tennis court with barely room to move. The cameras were rolling as the duo hit tennis balls and they had to be blown away by the breathtaking surroundings, but the two players weren't rolling on Tuesday as they both bowed out of the Nürnberger Gastein Ladies 11 event in Bad Gastein, Austria. Defending champion Julia Goerges fell to Laura Pous-Tio 6-1, 2-6, 6-1 and Jarmila Gajdosova lost to Bastad-finalist Johanna Larsson 6-4, 6-2. Goerges and Gajdosova weren't the only upset victims. The only seed that played and won her first round match at Bad Gastein was 8th-seed Ksenia Pervak. If 6th-seed Simona Halep loses on Wednesday the tournament will have lost seven out of eight seeds in the first round and the surviving seed would be the 8th-seed.
