Dunlop racquets have been out of my life for some time now.
The Dunlop Revelation was one of my first racquets.
The color, the grip... I loved it, but I moved on, and honestly, I hadn't taken Dunlop seriously for a while.
I'm thinking of dropping the my beloved Prestige, and the Dunlop Aerogel 300hundred is why.
For real.
Do you see any other blatant plug on our blog or on
our site about any other…

Just logged on to see if there was any blogs on Rotterdam, San Jose etc to find a load of games advertised by Core which occupy all the main page blog space.
Can Mark deal with this??
Ive logged on a few times of late to see kids 'love' t shirts etc being advertised. Is there a separate area for sales?? I certainly dont want to be commenting on whether I like the pink one or the blue one. Its not exactly BLOG is it.

Ive watched the final of nadal v fed at wimbledon 20 times now infact im doing it at the mo. Ive always believed that fed lost it in the first couple of sets. I think my love for feds game has biassed me towards the brute strength of nedals. Watching again i still cant love nedal but his forehand is exceptional if it was feds id be laughing all the way.
There is another blog 'i hate nadal' but what i am asking is does his brute strength and undoubted top spin forehand mask his greatness or…

Like millions of New Yorkers, I like to read the newspaper on the way to work while riding the subway.
This morning, I saw something in the sports section that shocked me, confused me, disgusted me, intrigued me—nearly every verb you can think of but make me happy: A loonng story on the U.S. archery team deciding to stand by its embattled coach. The coach, Kisik Lee, is under fire for the team not winning a medal in Beijing and his controversial takes on training and his religious…

I found a tennis racket at Good Will for only $2.50, and I bought a can of balls at Walgreen's. So I headed over to the Golden Gate courts, where there's a couple of practice walls.
At the wall I noticed that too often, I hit the balls over the fence. I kept at it for a while, and though it was fun, someone started practicing next to me and since I have so little control over the ball, I decided to leave him in peace.
The next morning I met with one of my new partners,…

Apart from the second set, which was kind of weird, the rest of it looked pretty controlled domination.
Yeah. I hit the ball well for most of the match. I just didn't serve well in the second set. I had a chance to break him right at the start of the second - If I'd done that, then maybe second set would have been a different story. But, yeah, I played well.
Given it's your first experience of this event, how did… Continue

Last weekend we had this screening in Berlin. We screened all qualified players of the Masters Cup in Shanghai on two walls at Checkpoint Charlie. It was really fun to work with these heavy-duty projectors and see the results on the wall.
For example Roger Federer (in front you see the historic border between FRG and DDR - the sign on the right side says: "You are leaving the american sector!"):
We showed him the pictures and he…

Couldn't you just see Andy joking with the crowd at a charity auction, and saying that for the "right price" he's give the lessons on the auction block in the buff? That's so Andy. But when the woman who won pressed him, even Andy had to backtrack.

I think Andy Murray is the favourite for the Masters Cup and rightly so as he must be the in form player and with Federer in his group I can see him meeting him in the final. He is playing so well and I think next year he could go very far hopefully winning his first GS in Australia on the hard courts and challenging for the number 1…

Does anybody know where I can get a Nadal-inspired Vamos! ceramic travel mug? There's a site that advertises on Tennisopolis that sells them, but they are out of stock. I've looked around but with no success. It looks like this:

I often use most of my energy during the first set and feel that I don't have enough energy to get me through the second or sometimes third set. There have been times where I have one the first set and should have one the second set, but lose the match because I get too tired and make too many errors. What can I do to increase my stamina? What in between match training do you recommend? Other advice??

So here's a kind-of U.S. Open-related post that also deals with a little pet peeve of mine.
First, if you couldn't tell by now,
I'm a big tennis geek! What can I say? Following career stats of players is kind of a hobby. Aside from that, in my alter ego, I work as a professional copy editor for a magazine (I'm managing editor for HFN, plus I do freelance copy editing for a newspaper, The Journal News). I like to think that I can spot…

Q. It seems like this time of the year every year you come out on the court with either your knee bandaged or thigh or ankle. It didn't appear like you had any bracing this evening. What's your general state of health?
