Being lucky to receive 4 free tickets to the McEnroe Challenge exhibition on March 7th, before the main event of March 9-22, I was wondering how many Tennisopolis members were going this year. Please post the day you may be going and perhaps we can…Continue

Djokovic vs. Dmitrov: I am going with Djokovic's ability to be consistent, his strong return, his solid backhand, his angling forehand. I think it will exceed Dmitrov's weapons quite easily.Federer vs. Raonic: As much as love Raonic's serve and I…Continue

As the recent owner of both these fine frames, Head and Wilson have really improved racquets in this weight category. I will describe the differences between the two. Both of these racquets are better than the Head Graphene Prestige Pro, also at 11.1…

The last two meetings of the two titans, at the Shanghai and the IPTL league, showed Federer's increasing prowess at dominating the forecourt. Certainly, Edberg has not only improved Federer's volleys to such an extent. He has also made Fed cut off the angle from where Djokovic can pass.
The years Fed spent with Annacone trying to adapt a chip and charge…

Hi Tim, thank you for the consideration - the OC is quite a large area (3 million people & a large square mileage) and based on the mountainous geography & travel limitations to/from the beach cities, they are not a probable, regular playing area for people in Irvine - and there are a wealth of quality courts (private & public) and avid players in the Irvine area.
As for the South Coast Metro group - maybe it was the indiscriminate name or lack of specifying Irvine, but its been nearly 2 years since there was any activity in that group, which to date has only 2 members. So I doubt that group will actually serve the needs of our area.
Of course, I cannot say how quickly the Irvine Group will grow, but the Hollywood / LA Group I started several years ago when I lived there is one of the top 10 largest on this site and like there, I definitely feel there is a need here, in this community, even if you just understand the urban planning and layout of this city - its quite unlike others.
This would be a great way to help connect players of the various ethnicities & cultures of our area through the game of tennis. I feel it would be unwise not to allow the chance.
Again, I appreciate the consideration.
With Gratitude,
Greg
Tim, Bobby and I are trying to coordinate a 4.5 dubs session for Saturday morning in Palm Desert. Check it out here:

Thanks for the tip Tip. I'll check that out. Just to let you know there isn't any media that isn't about selling. Peace, Rick Brandon.
pros pro is that any good?
Thanks for the compliment Tim. Since joining Tennisopolis, I have always found your comments to be level-headed and sincere. I am preparing for "Old man/new racket vs young man/ wood racket 2013" by doing more weight training than I have ever done before. I think it will be the difference between losing in 2012 and winning in 2013.
It's been good so far!
