Hey Folks,
Yes, federer has wond 16 slams and Nadal a bunch as well. But remember, back in the late 1970's thru 1980's, there wasnt a tennis court in america that wasnt taken.. Tennis was at an all time popularity and I remember WAITING to play . The junior competition was flooded with players. Nowadays, you go to a local court and you hear crickets and the nets are falling off!!!! (at least here in the states)
I hear excuses about how the racquet technology has…

Did the ruling bodies make a mistake by not regulating the size and content of tennis rackets? In the late 60's and early 70's nobody had ever thought of using anything other than wood for playing tennis. So when Connors strolled on with a metal racket, the regulatory bodies did not know what to do as there was no rule against it.
But were they too slow to react? Have we lost some of the skill and artistry of the game and sacrificed it to the skill of the manufacturer, where…

Looking to play with a beginner or intermidiate level. Non-competitive and just looking to practice techniques I've learned through private lessons. Can meet anywhere in the Livermore and Pleasanton areas during the day or evenings (except Tues & Thurs. evenings).

How does she do it?
One of the craziest comeback stories in women's tennis keeps rolling along as Kimiko Date Krumm knocked off Maria Sharapova at the Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo, mere hours before she hits the big 4-0.
Now looking at it on paper, you'd think Sharapova would be able to blast Date Krumm off the court, but obviously that's not the case because what Date Krumm lacks in power she makes up for with flat, penetrating groundies that can give a lot of players fits in…

I love Davis Cup.
However, after last year's final, for the first time, I started to have a little doubt about Davis Cup creep in. The tie between Spain and the Czech Republic was so bereft of drama that I barely tuned into it.
But this weekend, my friends, wiped out any and all concerns I had about my favorite sporting event. From the World Group semis to the playoff…

I'm new to Portland and don't know very many people here, especially people who play tennis. I'm about a 3.5ish now but used to be a 4.0 so that could come back. I don't know where any courts are around here but I live downtown so I'm pretty much willing to go anywhere to hit around... Let me know!

There's not that many safe public tennis courts out in Chatsworth. If you're willing to drive to The Master's College out in Newhall then I can be your hitting partner.
