Julia Goerges and Jarmila Gajdosova out at Austria

On Monday, 1st-seed Julia Goerges and 2nd-seed Jarmila Gajdosova traveled to the side of Stubnerkogel mountain in Bad Gastein, Austria. The two took part of a stunt for Sony Ericsson that saw them rally on a mini-tennis court with barely room to move. The cameras were rolling as the duo hit tennis balls and they had to be blown away by the breathtaking surroundings, but the two players weren't rolling on Tuesday as they both bowed out of the Nürnberger Gastein Ladies 11 event in Bad Gastein,…

American John Isner broke the 34 year old “Casino Curse” by winning the Campbell’s Hall of Fame Championships title at Newport, Rhode Island in a straight set victory against Olivier Rochus 6-3, 7-6(6). New Gal on the block looking for someone with patience

I live in Carmichael and am physically active and want to get out and learn something new, so tennis is it!  Carmichael Park and American River College are both nearby.  Early mornings are my time, but as the weather cools, I'd be up for evenings too.

Local meetup

I desperately need a tennis partner to play with regularly. I'm 17 and I live in Bracknell, Berkshire. I am a beginner but I really want to improve and just play what I really enjoy. If anyone lives in this area or even close, please get back to me and hopefully we can get this underway. A great place we can play at would be 'Jocks Lane Park', at the price of £4.75 per hour, we could pay half each and maybe play for a couple of hours?
