I have heard a Soccer Mom talk of attending a recital, ballet practice, and a PTA meeting all scheduled at 9am! Do not ask me how; I am not a soccer mom! Coaching in the burbs, gave me the opportunity to witness these Wonder women types in action.

I seem to be spending way to much time researching and studying the tennis industry these days so why not share some tidbits and brief notes here. It looks like Venus Williams is the proud owner of 5 or so Jamba Juice Franchises and will be promoting the brand as well... they do make the best smoothies, the kids love em!
A new racket brand -'bolt' is entering the market, apparently the racket has a suspension system that keeps the strings off the frame and therefore vibration is…

It's quarterfinals days at the two ATP World Tour events and the lone WTA Tour event this week. Unlike last week's Stuttgart event that featured no seeds in the quarterfinals, Hamburg seeds are in each quarterfinal spot this week. In Atlanta, at the first US Open Series event, the top three seeds survived the opening rounds. On the women's side, the Baku, Azerbaijan event's big story has been the…

Andy Murray, the world number four, has reached three grand slam finals, losing to Roger Federer twice and Novak Djokovic once. At 24 years of age he is at the peak of his physical fitness. Is he destined to win a slam in the near future, or has he been dealt a cruel hand by being a contemporary of three incredibly gifted tennis stars?
The most common remark heard around the tennis circuit, by other players, commentators and fans alike, is that Murray is too good not to win a slam.…

I am quite surprised this evening to see a Yahoo link to the Evert-Navratilova Final of the 1986 French Open. It made me realize again this is the way young juniors need to strive to play, and not right off like Sharapova, Nadal or the top players of today's men or women. As juniors mature, they…
