I am quite surprised this evening to see a Yahoo link to the Evert-Navratilova Final of the 1986 French Open. It made me realize again this is the way young juniors need to strive to play, and not right off like Sharapova, Nadal or the top players of today's men or women. It's great to have idols but beginning juniors need to start slow and develop their games. Basic tennis is about proper form, technique, getting the ball into play and keeping it in play. As juniors mature, they can develop into the player they want to be.
