Tennis This Week 4.0 - 5.0

Tennis basics come from the Past!!

Tennis footwork is the basis of any shot ability.  In the modern game, quick footwork is needed as the ball is traveling faster.  In the past footwork was everything, because it was needed to hit through the ball, with standard size racquets.  The newer racquets have softened the need to square up to the ball, and have produced tennis elbow and lots of injuries due to arm generated shots.  Bigger racquets, seem to breed less concentration on the ball, and shorter swings.  I am not referring to… Continue

clay court singles league

The top 2 in each of the 2 groups will play in a 4 person draw. First place is $250.

“Cut back on your errors”

Most of the points in a tennis match are over after only three or four hits. At every level, the majority of points are lost and not won. This means that most of the points are won due to errors rather than winners.
