ALTHEA

Posted on November 16, 2014 at 5:00pm 0 Comments

"ALTHEA"...A new documentary about tennis legend Althea Gibson has been created. No player, not even the great Arthur Ashe (who came a decade after Althea), overcame more obstacles to become a champion than Althea Gibson; the first African-American to play at (and win) Wimbledon and the US Open was a woman. Hey Steve,

I am coming down from Montreal, Canada at the end of June with my family.  Staying at Grande Dunes.  Looking to hit.  I'm 43, regular player, played some amateur tournaments in France when I was younger.  Would say my level is about 5+.  Would also be interested in any junior programs you might know of for my kids - 10 and 15.  They are both around 3.0 players.

Thank you !

Ron Goldman

Great. I just moved to town and am looking for a steady group to hit with. Do you know of any that plays doubles and singles on a weekly, or bi-weekly basis?
