i just joined the group too...

we run a full-service tennis shop, got a couple of gamma 88s, or "beasts" as we call them.

we love it b/c the clamps don't budge a bit when you release the tension, and it measures string as we pull it, which is nice.

favorite string is definitely Pacific XForce.

ps. ha! slave labor... hilarious!

Hi everyone. I just joined the group. I've been stringing my own racquet for about 10 years. I can't image my tennis life without my stringing machine.

Hey man, that's the same stringing machine as I have; love the DG :-)

Just joined this site. I live in South Florida - Delray beach and I play tennis and racquetball often. Just bought Prince Neos 1000 stringer to string locals in the area.

So your asking if that term is not the right words right? Well I would never really use that term. I don't think it's slave labor. It's less exciting now but I still like stringing rackets.

Kevlar has a good feel. The pro hurricane is really good too.

Kevlar if you prefer hitting the deadest feel ever (like John, of course), but you can also try really any poly. I find poly is VERY durable and get's you the feel you want, maintains, tension for longer than kevlar, and good for power. Any poly will work. I like Babolat Pro Hurricane tour best because of it's spin potential (it's octagonally shaped!!).
