Need some advice. I play with the Head Liquidmetal Radical......

But I need to make a change, probably to a slightly bigger head.  Any ideas what racket would best fit my needs.  I love to chip and charge, serve and volley, but also know that I need to be able to stay back and slug it out.  Need Help.

Bigger than the radical!? Isn't the radical already 110sq inches in midplus spec? The radical is unique because it has a big headsize for being a players frame. Any bigger than 110 and odds are it is a bazooka (or old lady racquet) and way too light with no weight in the handle

Agassi had the 110.  They also make a MP at around 98 si.  Darn that is an old frame.  I played with the 98 6 years ago.

I'm sorry I don't have any specific answer for you Mart T.  I now play with the Wilson Kblade 98 which I like a lot.

My advice is to spend 14 dollars at TennisWarehouse to demo 4 frames.  (The money covers the shipping and the demos are free.)

I tried my friend's LM Radical and found it way too head heavy, lightweight and springy. If you want sharp chip and charge, go to a smaller head (Prestige YT mid). If you want more slug (Prestige YT Pro).

Midplus in Head is 98. The OS is 106. If you want oversize, then it's the Radical YT Pro. But I can't see accurate chips with that.

I use the Head Pro Tour 280 (slugger/spin) or the Prestige YT mid (S&V, chip and charge, flatter groundies). I'd also play with the Volkl Powerbridge 10 Midplus if given a third racquet choice. The Volkl's the best of both worlds.

Tim do you really use 2 different racquets?

I liked the pb10; I have a couple of broken ones on my wall =/ I used the volkl c10pro before that... and then I found yonex.

Yeah, I switch between the two now, trying to decide what I'm better with. Right now, trying out Red Code 17 on the Prestige Mid YT and Black Code on the PT 280.

PB10 MP broken on the wall? Must look cool anyways. :) C10 pro has a nice feel, just not a great forehand racquet for me.

I tried the Nalbandian red RDiS100 MP modified with a Volkl silicon buttcap, leaded heavily at 9 and 3, with powerpads from a doubles partner. Smooth as butter and hits groundies like a Cadillac. Very impressed.

Either way I doubt you are looking for a "bigger" headsize. But I know nothing about your game so maybe?
Okay, maybe I didn't make myself entirely clear in my question.  I play the mid-plus now.  Not feeling the power, however, the touch is fine.  What I am wondering, is there a 100 racket that will fit my needs.  Say Roddick's racket?  I am not ready to go to a 110.  No thanks.  And yes, I am a creature of habit, and have loved playing this racket for a long time.  But I need a bit more power.
Powerful racquets with big heads are only for players who don't swing hard (110+) tim was right to recommend the prestige. I would also give the new yonex rdis200 a swing (there is a heavy and a light one) roddicks weapon is not a bad choice either. Probably the most pop of the 3 I mentioned. Babolats have a unique feel. I would keep the headsize 100sq inches or less
Try adding weight to your racquet. and loosen the tension. play with that before buying a new racquet. for a 100sqi racquet I like the Prince o3 tour.
Put the weight in the handle, not anymore in the head. It is already balanced 4pts HL. You don't want a 1-3 pts HL. That is the problem of having an overall light racquet. They balance it head heavy to make up for the lack of mass. You can do this with a leather grip or six grams + in/on the handle, either with silicon or lead.
dude, youre not a man if you cant play with the Adidas Lendl gtx     It has a whopping 80 sq in hitting surface!  (I highly recommend staying away from the net)
A lollipop with no volley potential? What does it do at the net, rattle without any sting?
