So, it seems that Rafa is the clear favorite.  Nole and Roger are there as second tier.  Who else would you pick to surprise the world with a win?

Fed has a good chance to win it all, seeing how Djoko and Nadal will have to eliminate one another in the semis. OOPS! This thread is about dark horses with little chance to win. haha

Everyone knows Roger is the GOAT and by no means a "darkhorse". I only brought his name into the discussion because I gave him little chance to win the French this year and was wondering if anyone else did. Sorry if I hit a nerve with some of you.

No prob, Steven. Just struck my "Fed is not yet too old" nerve. lol

Nikishori on the mens side and Sloan on the womans.

Both shown the exit. Hmm...

I know... I think I jinksed them both! LOL

HAHAHA Haas is still in it but i am now torn from having Novak become the greatest player of all time VS hey an old man can still play this after going through surgeries & injuries. Haas may not have what it takes against nadal, but i think nole does. looks like federer may make it to the finals.

Woooahh!  Can TSONGA count as a dark horse?  Usually a 5 or 6 seed does not meet the criteria, but it has been so long since anyone other than a top 4 has won a major, I say yes - the definition of darkhorse has changed.

But, can Tsonga do it?

I'd say yes. Tsonga counts. In my crazy opinion,  everyone but Nadal is a darkhorse. LOL Just kidding!

Tsonga dark horse because he never won a major......and am i wrong?

Vindicated!

Well, let's see if Tsonga can beat Ferrer. He's the only darkhorse left.

As for Fed, he doesn't like trading with flat bombers like Tsonga, Del Potro or Berdych. Perhaps taking 7 weeks off is just not a smart idea.
