I'm new to this site and i joined because i wanted tips to sharpen my techniques. I have been playing since i was 3 years old, and joined tournaments at the age of 6. My dad started off teaching me tennis after i saw him play and i got interested, but my older brother was already playing for his high school. He was 15 when i started, and he was playing #3 Doubles with his friend. I wanted to play singles, because i can cover the court faster without a doubles partner, and also its more fun :P.
I played very good for my age, but i had to enhance preparation for my ground strokes and volleys, so i joined the Rancho Bernardo tennis club, and the coach there, Ray Smith, was such an excellent coach! I was with him for 2 years, and left the club at 8 years old because of money problems. I joined the 12's division in SoCal and won many tournaments. Then my dad visited this lady from an Ad, her name was Huong Nguyen and she was an excellent player from Virginia. She made a tennis team called the Westview Attackers, deprived from the high school, Westview High. I tried out for the 14's int. and it was awkward playing in the team, but it got very fun after i knew everyone on the team. On our first season together, we were the underdog of that division. We beat every single team, even barne's team, from the Barnes Tennis Center. We went to the Sectionals tournament, after beating the District. And we made it to the finals and got second place.
I will add more later.
