Just played on clay (har-tru) for the first time...

I'm down in Florida for vacation and just played on clay for the first time (or Har-Tru, as it were).

Anyway, the ball definitely bites and jumps up, but I haven't noticed it to be tremendously "slower". Perhaps I don't play with enough pace.

Also, I got used to the sliding pretty quickly. Except when I get completely engrossed in a point and stop thinking about needing to slide. Then I almost end up on my rear. :-)

I have a 4.0 Usta Ladies team out of Long Beach, Long Island. I have two ladies that play from Brooklyn and was wondering if anyone else would be interested in playing Usta out of Long Beach Tennis Center. It is an easy commute from Brooklyn.

one night off

I work at a store so I never get the weekends off I don't even get two nights off in a row. I usualy have tuseday adn thursaday off I'm finaly getting my room the way I want it. a few more weeks and I'll have all my stuff unpacked I've only lived in this room for a year. lol I'm a slight procatinater but my room as also being used as the Family storage room so I moved somethings out and unpacked my parent's library so that took care of about twenty boxes. we're a book family. ILooking to play in South Lake Tahoe / Stateline NV 3/9 -3/12

laid off with loads of free time... time to play tennis!!!!!!!!

So I live near Crabtree Mall in Raleigh and am looking for some people around my age and/or skill level to play with regularly. I work well on set schedules... right now i have a ton of free time. dont hesitate to contact me. I'm about a 3.5 player but ready to improve... Kids' tennis outing today!

I took the kids (6 and 3) to a college tennis match today and they behaved surprisingly well, all things considered! I reviewed the scoring and some of the basics of the game to my son and was happy he seemed to listen and then even asked a couple questions! He even pointed out, "It's better to watch tennis in real life than on TV." Indeed!
