Without Murray and Nadal in the mix, and Nadal also pulling out in Paris, it is hard not to imagine this scenario happening. I don't see Fed losing to Roddick, 20-2 lifetime record and I don't see Djoko losing to Baghdatis, etc.. Who's your pick if this final were to happen?
I guess not. Nishi took out Nole today! The Djoker knew Fedman was looking for USO revenge I can't wait to see the replay of Fed vs Stan tonight if he was playing anything like he was against A-Rod. The young man from Japan is about to get schooled!
All I saw was that he injured his right shoulder. I suspect it is because he is truncating his serve windup to 5 o'clock (straight arm) to trophy at around 6 o'clock. This will wear down the shoulder because there is less inner rotation available to provide power.
I can't believe Nishikori would think he really earned his victory against Djoko, saying he can't believe he won, etc.. I want Fed to beat him for sure.
Looking at the atpworldtour.com highlights, I still don't see why Nishikori is such a big deal. He seems to me like a lesser version of Michael Chang. Not as fast, less coiled groundies, not as tenacious. Maybe I'm wrong but he never seems to even threaten Fed remotely.
