Here's my absolute favorite racquet of all time. If I could find more, I'd buy as many as available. This is a late 80's/ early 90's head match pro. From the research I've found, I believe this particular series was made in Taiwan. Used it up until recently when it snapped in half. And I'll just throw this out there - if anyone knows where I could buy a few more of these, I'd really appreciate it, because I can't find them anywhere. I've been trying to find a modern racquet that hits like this one, but nothing has come even remotely close..
this is a Real Ugly Racquet and also part of this lines Failure( my opinion). ProKennex Type-C released within 2001-3 and discontinued for the redundo Type-C . at First look it had a Shinny Shimmer that gave you a feeling of icy glow. But after my sponsors package gets in and I'm teaching a National Level Academy at Tennis port LIC, the Red clay Stuck to the Shimmer/the nice part.
Here come the UGLY.
With the Red Clay sticking and Pealing off the gray Background it looked like how in Elementary you peeled glue from your hand after it dried, except is was brown like ( I shall not Say). Here is the Problem with this Racquet looking bad & relatively being unknown in 2003. The kids at the Program were good and are looking at me like you must be shite because look at your racquet. I like how I made them eat their words.
Hey Coach V.
yeah, the handle is ugly. I think the grip was too short for the handle or I just put the grip on really badly or something. here's the only other image I have right now:
There really aren't any graphics on it. My dad said he bought it from K-mart when I was in high school, so it's not one of those fancy schmancy racquets.. but God I love it. If you come across any of them in half decent shape, I'll buy everyone of them you've got.
you might have a test racquet or After market rename. Double Wedge wide bodies. Check for Head Ventoris ( if its a small wide body ),
Genesis series( Arthur Ashe racquet line before his death from AIDS Virus )
head Series before they went to the Trisiss series( aka Agassi's First Head Racquet tri-360 ). Look for the Ventoris from Head. The Head ventoris was my First NEW Purchase for a Tennis Racquet in 1993/4. It promoted Feel over POWER!!!!
