Oh, about me? I'm a website developer as well as a tennis player and huge fan of the pros. I just got moved up to a 4.5 rating - success at last!

I love to follow the pro game. I get fully obsessed during the Grand Slam events to the point where I want to lock the door and just sit around watching in my jammies.

Please invite your friends to join.

McEnroe, hands down. Agassi is second. Oh, you wanna know current faves? I like rooting for Murray, Fish, Azarenka, Ryan Harrison, Hantuchova, and Nalbandian. Mark / The Mayor replied to Patrick D.'s discussion 'I am having hard time choosing a partner'
"Are you really a 5.5/ 6.0 NTRP player?  That is NCAA Division 1 level - near professional. The good news is that you are in LA, and Tennisopolis has about 3000 players in the area. M"

Tennisopolis: The Community Of Tennis!

Hi tennis people! I'm so glad you finally arrived to save the day. I started Tennisopolis.com for a couple of reasons. First, I was fed up with the current state of tennis websites. There was nothing that connected people and allowed fans and players to express themselves. So I partnered with some buddies and created Tennisopolis (great name, yes, thanks) to put the focus on the members (you!) and allow members to meet, chat, and tell people about what they do and who they are.

Leave me a note. Thanks for stopping by my page.

Adidas Trying the Scarcity Trick with Stan Smith Shoes

Posted on January 31, 2014 at 10:00am 0 Comments

For the last few years, classic sneakers have had a bit of a renaissance in the marketplace.  Leading the way has been the early Nike, Vans, and of course the iconic white and green accented Stan Smiths.  In 2012, Adidas stopped production and distribution of the Smiths, and shoe connoseurs took notice: New Stan Smiths were hard to come by.

The idea is to build up demand through scarcity and…

There don't seem to be many members in my area, so I'm not expecting much. It might be better in Florida when I'm back there next year..

Lol...yeah, I am a big proponent of honoring past champions while cheering for the current ones.  This is why I love to watch exhibition matches where the past greats play with or against the current champions.  I especially liked the 2010 Hit for Haiti charity event at Indian Wells featuring Sampras/Federer vs. Agassi/Nadal.  It was only a short match consisting of a single abbreviated set, but the event quickly sold out.  I wished they had played best of 3 full sets, or at least 1 single full set.  I think the whole match was over in 30-45 minutes.  It was awesome and fun to watch, but it was way too short.

Same here.  This weather is already old.  Having difficulty finding tennis partners at the non-competition level but then I must confess I haven't tried all that hard to look.  I starting filtering profiles for my area and sending messages to hook up.  I'd like to meet up 1-2 times and week and smack the ball around, burn some calories.
