He really uses a pushcart for his racquet bag? Interesting!

He looks Crazy but he can play.
Looks kinda like Bobby Fischer. Did he outsmart you back in the day?
no, i just didnt have a backhand, no one else to practice with, and no coaching.
Tim, take it from me, CoachV in his early days did not play enough practice points. He would just hit and return 60 mph groundstrokes up the middle for 2 hours, a couple of times a week; then he would jump into the frying pan against my 110 mph serve (118 when I occassionally used a 29" long racket). He could never get his bat around my fastball. His serve, volley, and overhead were mediocre because he only practiced them when he played that rare set about once every two weeks! I did not outsmart him like Bobby Fisher might do. I simply blasted him off the court. Then he finally blasted me off the court in December of 2000 with his superior groundstroke technique and my 45 year old osteoarthritic knees. If anyone out there has any doubt about the correct way to practice to become the best you can be, just watch pros practice during the US Open (or any other pro tournament). You will see that at least 50% of there time is spent playing points.
Yeah, I observed the BNP Paribas Indian Wells practices quite a bit the last two years. The top men all spent close to half the time playing points. Sure, there would be rallying but then the points played would start. Especially the Gasquet/Tsonga practices I recorded.
110 mph serving? Very respectable indeed. Really gotta shorten the loop section of the return stroke to get those back, if you're gonna stand a foot behind the baseline. Or stand several feet back.
Well, I know what you mean about 45 year old osteoarthritic knees. I'm 41 now and I can already feel some change taking place on them. Anything to be done about it, I'll do it.
So what's your game plan against V with wood racquets? The fastball graphite serve against a wood returner?
His Plan is NOT TO DIE!
his Plan is to get at LEAST 1 GAME.
his PLAN is to Apologize and PRAISE COACHV!
His PLAN IS TO pay $50 to ME...CoachV
