After his 7-6 (7), 3-6, 7-6 (5) upset of world No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the semifinals of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian WellsJohn Isner says that he has the ability to win a major. Isner also upset world No. 3 Roger Federerlast month in Davis Cup.

"I believe I can," said Isner, who will crack the Top 10 when the rankings are released next week. "You know, Slams are tough. It's the most physical, in my opinion. You're playing three out of five. If I were to run up against Djokovic again in a Slam; even if, you know, we were playing three out of five today, I would have to finish him off with one more set. So I know it's so tough, but I enjoy the challenge. There are three more this year, and I'm gonna try to do the best I can."

Famous last words...

Yeah, I think he shoulda kept it to himself, before doin' it. That's a self jinx!

Well you have to believe you can do it or it will not happen.....but believing and doing are two different things.

Yeah, look at what happened to Oudin with "I believe" scrawled on her shoetops.

i believe i can do it.....after i hit the lotto....

He should have waited until after he won one before making a statement like that.  It is what it is though.  I am sure his confidence is sky high right now though.  But if he were to win one, it would most likely be Wimbledon.

Too many people for him to beat in a fortnight. If there were two days in between, I'd say maybe.
