There's no way I would want that job. First, I'm so nearsighted and second, I'm too generous and/or skeptical.

I was a USTA Tournament Referee for many years, it was cool, because you have an impact on teaching sportsmanship, and protecting good kids from bad kids.   Going to Rookie School to be a Linesperson on the other hand violated my attention span...  Linesperson is a tough job and requires a certain personality, you have to be a perfectionist.
