So Justine Henin announced her retirement due to the elbow injury she sustained at Wimbledon last year. Very sad. Incredible player. Shame I never got to string for her.

Again?  Already?  Bummer!  I guess she is one of the athletes that wishes she never came back.  We've been blown away by Kim's comeback, but for most, once you retire, you CAN'T comeback.  Brett Favre, are you listening?
Shhhhh! Don't mention BF! Now that he is too beat up to play football he, like most retirees, may turn to tennis as an activity. Where is the best tennis site? Well tennisopolis.com of course! Think of all the trouble you'd have to go through with him. "I want to join, I don't want to join". "Ohhhh she looks nice let me send her a couple of pics of little Brett!" "Maybe my sister can find some new clients, let me invite her!" Keep he who shall remain nameless as farve away from TO as possible!
It is a complete shame to see one of the more gifted players have to give in due to body breakdown.  She was always fun to watch and what an incredible fighter.  Truly inspiring.  The Women's Tennis world will miss her.
I wonder what really caused her elbow injury, was it her new serve or her backhand? I believe it was a combination of both.
Awww man, one of my favorite women tennis players!  :(

I do think the new gameplan to play bigger did her in. I mean it was her choice but why change anything after you left the game from exhaustion? If you come back older trying to bang shot for shot with Serena is just not smart! I guess her elbow paid the price. I will miss her beautiful game as more and more 2hbh baseline sluggers continue to clog the Wta ranks. Good night sweet Justine. Vive le Schiavone!

Yeah, it's sad to see her go again.  One of the best one hand backhand in the biz will be missed dearly.

On the bright side, this gives the US Fed Cup team a gleamer of hope.  ;-)  Now it's just Clijsters, Wickmayer, & Flipkens to deal with.  :-o  Still not an easy task.  ;-)  Don't think Venus will be participating now that she's injured, again, at the AO 2011.  Let's see if Oudin & Mattek-Sands and pull a miracle for the US.
