Who are the top Coaches in the World?
I seen the coaches face but don't have no idea who they are.
We know the names of the top players in the world but whats the coaches names?
You tell me.

Peter Lundgren, Darren Cahill, Paul Annacone, Brad Gilbert, Tony Roche off the top of my head.

Not fimiliar with those coaches. Who are their players?

Lundgren had Safin, Federer, Rios, Baghdatis and Dmitrov, the new upcoming star from Bulgaria.
Cahill had Roddick, Hewitt, Agassi, Hantuchova.
Annacone had Sampras and now Federer.
Gilbert had Agassi, Roddick, Murray.
Stefanski had Mac, Rios, Kafelnikov, Henman.
Roche had Lendl and Federer.
All were former ATP pros and are what I think is best: a true player-coach.

Federer had a lot of coaches and why so many?
He did real great with all the coaches why not pick one.

I'm not sure why he left Lundgren. But I've read Lundgren say in an interview Fed was a little lazy at first, not as talented as the young Dmitrov at the same age of 19. He learned from Lundgren how to hit his current forehand away from the former loop swing he used.
Before Lundgren, he had a coach named Peter Carter who probably showed him his backhand, Carter having a great backhand. He died in a car accident quite young, in his early thirties.
Roche did not seem to be enjoying Federer struggle on the clay. Roche seemed to shake his head when Fed shanked a few groundies. Roche also didn't want to travel as much. Fed complained about the lack of personal communication from the stand-offish Roche and dismissed him.
As we all know, he was coach less for a long time. I hope the Annacone arrangement leads him to the Grand Slam finally.

Here is some of it:
Fed's recent hiring of Annacone does suggests he realizes his groundstrokes are being outgunned periodically by Davydenko, Del Potro, now Berdych and Soderling. And he also has problems with Nadal and to a lesser degree, Murray and that odd claycourter, i.e. Falla. He must assert the middle of the court in another way, which is move up the middle and not be caught behind the baseline on the run towards the corners. Hopefully, he will also beef up his serve mphs and get the disguise back, not only his serve but his groundies as well.His backhand needs better extension to the left of the ball, so starting with less of a bent arm and a more Western grip a la Kuerten might make it more solid. But I doubt he will make that change. If he returned to a more semiwestern forehand with a bigger loop and radius (his 2005 version forehand), he also would be able to cut more balls off on the run with greater extension to the right of the ball. I finally think he has to abandon some of the precision of the Eastern grip (smaller radius) in order to get some power out of his swing. Fed can make all these changes and be dominant again for a little longer, if he is willing. Hopefully, he will. -
