Oh, I found it!  Are you referring to this article in the WSJ?

In the Big 12 Conference this college tennis season, schools are saying pish-posh to polite crowds and umpires who announce “Quiet, please!” at the slightest provocation. Tennis fans there have permission to scream, scream, scream—even during rallies and as players try to serve.

At Baylor last Friday, Nate Hilgenkamp, a 20-year-old religion major who wants to be a pastor, was excited to learn that the match between Oklahoma, the top-ranked team in the nation, and second-ranked Baylor would welcome hecklers.

yes that is what I am talking about. This is like the first hanging ever. its a glorified horror, with out the Shakespeare blood of The Tragedy of Macbeth.  On NPR-NAtional public radio they talked about the levels of heckling that went on. A student began reading from a book on tennis instruction during tennis points. I think it was tennis for dummies. This was done as a form of criticism and harassment based on misses/errors of the players.
