Nadal's Year and Future Riding on U.S. Open

No one will deny that Rafael Nadal has had a difficult year thus far.He won the Australian Open at the start of the season, continuing a magical run through the 2008 season, however that seems like a decade ago now (doesn't it?). Beyond the Australian Open and leading up to the French, Nadal was simply being "Nadal".…See More

Paradorn Srichaphan: How's the Wrist?

The former top 10 player, Paradorn Srichaphan is apparently still looking to return to tennis after leaving tennis more than 2 years ago due to a wrist injury.Wildly popular in Asia, the Thai player was a promising player with character and game. A serious wrist injury however stalled Paradorn's career in 2007 and he hasn't played a tournament since. Most have written him off after he married a former Miss Universe, headed into Asian television, and opened an Italian restaurant. What more does…See More

Wimbledon 2009: Doubles Finals Will be a Classic

The Bryan Brothers are the #1 team in tennis.Nestor and Zimonjic are #2.The Bryans regained #1 after dethroning Mr.Nestor from the #1 position.Nestor-Zimonjic hold a 5-3 lead over the brothers in head to head match-ups.The Bryan's and of course Nestor (with relatively new partner) are easily the most decorated and accomplished doubles pairs in mens tennis. They own all of the titles, including Olympic Gold between the 4 and are still going very, very strong.Nestor is the defending doubles…See More

Mark Oskar commented on Mark / The Mayor's blog post 'Nadal CAN NOT Repeat as Wimbledon Champ.'
"Nice post Mr.Mayor! Nadal's game is brash and will shorten his career for certain. However, I'm thoroughly disapointed in this decision to not defend his title. He notes not 100%, he notes however that his knees are better than 2 weeks…"

Federer - Soderling 2009 French Open Finals: The Calm Before the Storm

Less than an hour to go before the French final between Robin Soderling, and Roger Federer. Both players are certainly performing their final preparations before taking the stage...Most which are mental preparations, and you have to believe that the mindsets of each warrior is slightly different.Whether Soderling likes it or not, this is uncharted territory. Robin has gone far further than he has (boldly) ever gone before in a slam, and he's got a guy on the other side of the net that may go…See More

Soderling Triumphs, to Face Federer in French Open Big Show

Soderling has done it again. To many, this is probably one of the most improbable runs at a Grand Slam in recent memory. While he certainly isn’t the lowest ranked player to get this far, Robin Soderling has never made it past the 3rd round of any major, ever! The guy has not even won a clay event in his life...And here in France, Soderling has not only made it to the finals, he defeated arguably the greatest clay court player of all time, in what was one of the greatest Major upsets of all…See More

Hi Mark O! Welcome to the "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you. We created this place less than 2 years ago and it has been a wild ride ever since - we've gone viral and now we're "almost famous".

What can you do here?
At Tennisopolis, you can:
- meet other players. Here's a primer on how to find partners.
- join a Group. Members have started over 220 Local Groups (and other types of Groups too.) Search for one in your area, or start your own.
- follow the pros. There are over 1000 blog posts on Tennisopolis. Have a good read, or write your own.
- improve your game. Get tips in the Forum and check out video lessons.
- post your own Videos or embed your favorites from youtube.
- add your own Photos.
- and just hang out and connect with great people.

To get started, please upload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

Thanks to everyone inviting their friends, we now have over 18,500 members and we're growing by 70 new members a day. Invite yours too!

If you need any help, let me know.
Friend me!
