"Tim, have you tried Yonex Pro Poly Tour, been using and really like the softer feel, good spin generation although I generate it anyway, and holds tension pretty well."

"yes, but he will need both hands and arms. the single still requires the other hand to help aim set-up and guide the racquet as a counter balance."

Profile Information

I am a:
Tournament or League Player, Teaching Pro or Coach
Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
Currently working with a top ranked 9yr old girl, she's #4 in 10's and now moved to 12's and is top 100. Also, work with top 40 14's boy and several juniors ranked between 100-200 in Nor Cal. Continue to work with one of the top 4.5 ladies teams in NorCal and former coach and sparring partner of 2008 Men's 5.0 player of the year. I love teaching beginners and advanced students. I feel beginners need to have the best instructors so that they can learn the proper strokes and enjoy the game sooner since they will know how to hit the ball. I have a problem with programs that have high school students for instructors since its usually a waste of the parents money and students time, but it gives me more business because someone has to fix their strokes later on.
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
Pretty damn good
On the court, I am a:
bomber, serve-n-volleyer, drop-shotter, gracious winner, gracious loser

Hard Work pays off!!!

Posted on November 7, 2011 at 12:40am 1 Comment

I love to see all the effort and hard work pay off for students. The past two weeks I've had the pleasure of seeing past and present junior students perform exceptionally well in their tournament outings. 13yr old boy winning an 18under tourney, two 9yr old girls meeting in the 12under semi's and the winner taking the tourney, and another 11yr old girl in the 14 finals. All these kids works extremely hard and now it's really starting to show, and I wish them more success in the future be it… Continue

Hal, you mentioned the castors on the popular Gamma E-Z Cart eventually strip-out. I contacted Gamma and they don't have care or maintenance instructions for them. Over time, I notice accumulation of dirt/sand etc. which need to be cleaned and the ball bearings lubricated. Can you offer me any helpful tips?

Hal, I know you are a stringer. Is there a way I can refer customers to you for stringing? I string too, but more often than not, I don't have the time or the string inventory. Let me know if I can pass you some business. Thanks!
