Was wondering who is your favorite old school tennis player and why?

If truly old school, then I'm saying Rod Laver. His quick coiling motion, the relentless serve and volleying, superb backhand, the wristy forehand, the unflappable overhead. And he was only 5'8''! His footwork was speedy, and he looked like a wily fox!
Need I say more?   This guy.
I use to like Boris Becker.  I liked how he dove all over the court for the balls!

awww memories!  I actually remember seeing this as it happened!  On TV of course.  Thanks M

Well, Mac's my childhood idol. I did everything to copy his game, even his serve. I had his cross trainer shoes too. He's the newer old school. lol
Becker is old school? Aghh! Makes me feel old.
His racquets are great though. Especially the Deltacore Legend.
gotta love Rod's hat!
