Great question!
Seems like something Behany Mattek would rock first! Would go with her tall black socks!
I wear a baseball type hat for glare so I don't have to worry about it much. My gut tells me it would work just as good for a tennis player as a football player.
I'm sure it would work, but expect it to run down your cheeks during intense matches.

no its a MANGA comic. and she blushing or mad.
but think she is very pale looking she is reflecting Bright white light off her skin on the left arm. Eye black makes sense for her to me anyhow.
I've tried wearing eye-black on the tennis court both outdoors, and indoors with overly-bright lighting. It definitely helps with reducing glare. (And no, it didn't run down my face, as it's oil-based. Any baseball or football player would likely say the same thing.)
If NHL ice-hockey players can make the conscious decision to wear eye black while playing the annual Winter Classic outdoor game to reduce glare, (day or night), why can't tennis players do the same? ("Because it's not traditional" or "it looks dumb" are not valid reasons in my book.)
