Great question!

Seems like something Behany Mattek would rock first!  Would go with her tall black socks!

I wear a baseball type hat for glare so I don't have to worry about it much.   My gut tells me it would work just as good for a tennis player as a football player.

yes. but remember that you will sweat more that in the other sports. so, I have no experience in how long it will last. let me know thanks.
I remember Mac putting so much sunblock on his face, he looked like a Kabuki actor. Well, I hope EyeBlack looks less comical than McEnroe did. :)

I'm sure it would work, but expect it to run down your cheeks during intense matches.

Bethanie Mattek-Sands did wear eye black at tournaments this year (even in the women's doubles final at Indian Wells!).
did you see the whole match in person mark? and how much did she play with it? in between games points ,breaks and sets? thanks
No, I just heard about it somehow, then googled for the image.  This looks like it was in Melbourne, but I think Bethanie has done it a few times.  I couldn't imagine her cleaning it off in the middle of a match.  :)
Here she is in IW this year.  This was taken during a singles match I read.
Dude, that looks frightening! Like a bad horror flick. Is this Freddy's sister?

no its a MANGA comic. and she blushing or mad.

but think she is very pale looking she is reflecting Bright white light off her skin on the left arm. Eye black makes sense for her to me anyhow.

I've tried wearing eye-black on the tennis court both outdoors, and indoors with overly-bright lighting. It definitely helps with reducing glare. (And no, it didn't run down my face, as it's oil-based. Any baseball or football player would likely say the same thing.)

If NHL ice-hockey players can make the conscious decision to wear eye black while playing the annual Winter Classic outdoor game to reduce glare, (day or night), why can't tennis players do the same? ("Because it's not traditional" or "it looks dumb" are not valid reasons in my book.)
