Very disappointed too. Should Federer win the French it should be with Nadal on the other side of the net.

Strange, for me it wasn't dissappointment that I felt. I was shocked but rooting for Soderling. I now realize how great this is for tennis in general. It was the talk of the TV news stations (and radio, and internet) yesterday. Even ESPN was leading with it on all their broadcasts - this goes to every meat head sports fan in America - reminds them that tennis is alive and well around the globe. But also, really opens up the tournament and now there are 12 men that can realistically win this thing. Every result available is a HUGE story: Fed wins and becomes the GOAT, Roddick wins and is no longer a won-hit-wonder OR a grand slam virgin wins their first. It's super fun to follow now!

now that he's out, my bracket is blown out of the water. not that i was doing all that hot up til now anyway. both finalists gone for me now. i'll cheer federer on!

yeahhhh. but if federer wins, i dont think it'll be tainted in any way just because rafa wasnt across the net. historically, it wont matter.
