This racquet plays very stable, smooth with its closed 18x20 pattern and 21 mm beam. Requires a long. fast swing but there's ample dampening, perhaps due to the Nickel Mesh construction. I don't know if it is similar to braided graphite, but I sure get a nice feel on volleys and strokes. Without the dampener, it gives off a lower pitched ring. I was able to drive the ball really well and straight. I would say it is a racquet combining the drive ability of Fed's Prostaff BLX  with the feel of the Head IG Prestige Pro. With a stiffness rating at 68, it is a remarkable racquet.

was this stick given to you to try out?

No, I happened to be at Burbank Tennis Center, thought it was the new Head Graphene racquet. Said to myself, "Hey, why not try this one? You looked at this on Tennis Warehouse a long time ago. Here's your chance." The shop let me demo with just a driver's license. :)

Whats the head size Tim?

Have you had a chance to demo the new Blade 93'? (Wilson)

It's a 98. I haven't got a chance, just saw the new Blade 93 and 98 with its matte black/ glossy black finish and silver pinstripe at Racquet Doctor in Glendale. Very handsome racquet. Heft and balance seems much better than last years!
