Most of my best results come in doubles but I beat a player from George Fox University in the final of my last singles draw... Andrew Milton
Recently we beat:
Mark Meyer (UCSD)
Chris Kipouras (Dartmouth)
Suresh Eswaran (Vanderbilt)
Andrew Pises (Cal)
Losses to:
Yale's #1 John Huang (super legit) and his Yale doubles partner Patrick Chase.
Pro's: Brian Battistone and Chris Wettengale

Cool, I used to hit with Chris Kipouras, nice kid, solid game. Mark Meyer another Danville kid. Fun to bang with D1 kids, I have a buddy who just finished at Tulane and hit with him whenever possible. Can only manage a 3-3 or so, but he's 21-22 age and I'm 46+ so I'll take it.
I had a feeling you would know these kids Hal =)
They yelled and screamed a lot
Never worked with the Meyer brothers but now of them and where they trained. Now Chris, used to get paid to blast serves at him and drill drill drill. Not sure where the screaming came from, although that seems to be common with the juniors and college players. I hate it.
Pises also a top kid from Walnut Creek or Moraga I think. he dominated his high school league.
I heard about Pises from these MCC ladies... He never lost and blah blah
He seems like a cool enough kid.
Moraga is my home town. I am surprised i don't know him and you do =)
Congratulations John. How did you handle Battistone's jump serve? Was it much different than a standard serve?
