Hi, I'm Martín, from Argentina, and i ask you for How to plan a tennis match, being a defensive player? Some backcourt tactics were exposed in the Book, but those are very offensive. I play very high, nearly 6 feet over the net, always. I play lower only when i try to approach, passing or hitting a slice.
Well, I have problems to win the points, because I have no ideas.
Thank you!

Martin, hit high to the backhand of your opponent, drawing them back, then, on his first short ball, hit crosscourt short to the intersection of the service line and the sideline, driving them off the court. It will either be a winner or he will leave the other side open for you to attack there. Short crosscourts ar usually neglected by players, but there are the most effective on opening up the court on the other side.
Thank you!! I will try this tactic in practice matches. But, I if it fails, There is another plan? This has to be the way to play the entire match?
Try studying the Wardaw Directionals:

Lucy, you know the Wardlaw Directinals. Best strategy ever invented. I had allready suggested that to Martin on his web page.

My Webpage? I don`t know that I have one!

I remeber another tactic sent by Oscar in the newsletter, applied by Dementieva two or three years ago against Hingis. She hitted short, low slices to the Hingis backhand, making she approach to the net, and played lobs to pass her.
If anyone wants a Word transcribed copy of the Wardlaw Directionals transcribed word for word from Paul Wardlaw himself, who I was told by a college coach has studied Oscar's MTM, I can email it to you. Just let me know. I use it as a tool to train our MTM coaches as Oscar is certifying and recognizing coaches who want to be trained in Modern Tennis Methodology.
I have a copy, but were does Paul Wardlaw coach at now, do you know?

Thanks a lot, Lucile. John, can you send the Word descriptions to jzhao83@gmail.com? Question for you guys, when you play someone who is better and mostly more consistent than you, are you supposed to play a lot more aggressively since a conservative game plan will guanrantee a loss? In that case, would you also interpret Wardlaw's guidelines more agressively?
