Tennisopolis : Tennis Social Network

Since there weren't any threads going in this group, I figured I'd start a new one that might be useful. I'd like to see if everyone can post where you play/practice and when/how often? I'm just getting back into tennis after not having played since high school, but none of my friends are into it, and I don't have a schedule that allows me to join a league or club. So I'm looking for a few people who wouldn't mind helping me get my game back up without giving me the business.

So for me, I'm in Riverside (near UCR) and I usually have some time on the weekends (either early in the day or later in the evening) and once in a while in the evenings during the week. I'm not a student @ UCR, but I'm trying to get a pass to be able to use their courts ;) but there's a few other courts around here (Reid Park near the Riverside Golf Club @ Columbia has decent courts that are usually empty, RCC, etc).

So let's see what everyone else is up to and maybe we can all find some new folks to practice with.

I am out in the Victorville area and hit around with some guys from work week nights and weekends.

BTW - I'm thinking about doing Ultimate Tennis. Does anyone know of courts I could use convenient to the I-15 in the Rancho Cucomonga area?
What is Ultimate Tennis?. There maby courts off the 210 at day creek, ask adam deleon on inland empire group.
Ultimate Tennis is an online league I played in Atlanta. There is a league open in Los Angeles now.

Check out www.ultimatetennis.com.

Players are grouped in competitive divisions based on skill level and geographical proximity. There are about seven (7) matches per season, with point standings to qualify for playoffs. It was a great way to find people to play.
It's not too popular in the inland empire it seems. I signed up and then quit right away to get a refund. Everyone in the 4.0 level were in Orange County.
Yeah, I noticed. I just finished the season playing out of Burbank. The number of players in LA is quite small, 7-20 per skill level.

In Atlanta, it is typical to have 200-500 players at each skill level. Outside of the playoffs/tournament, I never traveled more than 5 miles to play my matches.

The league has been in LA for three seasons, maybe it will catch on.
I live in Corona and play in Chino Hills at least once a week.
New here....looking for people near Corona to hit the courts. I'm available most evenings and weekends.

Let me know!
Hi,
I'm interested in playing in Riverside. Preferably the court at my family's home but I'm flexible meeting at another Riverside court would be fine.. I'm completely new to the game but think it would be quite fun. Anyone up to join me.
New to Riverside/Corona area, looking for someone to practice/play with. I can play on weekends and prefer early mornings (to beat the crowds). I'm pretty good (3.5-4.0) but haven't played in 3-4 months so probably a little rusty. I am not familiar with where the courts are around here but would prefer to stay in the Riverside/Corona area. Let me know if anyone out there wants to play. Also, anyone know where I can get racquets restrung around here?

Anyone looking to play in Riverside. Haven't played in a while, but would like to get started again. Think i'm about a 3.0 player. Would like to get out a couple times a week.
We have 3 players in the Chino/Ontario area and need one more for doubles on the weekends. Interested?
