Tennisopolis : Tennis Social Network

Note to self and to everyone else who cares: Do not EVER sign up for 2 events in a summer tournament anymore. Especially in Dallas when it's over 100 degrees!!! It was brutal!! Played 6 matches (3 singles; 3 doubles), a total of 13 hours of tennis this weekend. Go for quality over quantity from now on. My last singles finals match could've lasted at 6-2; 6-2 win but instead it went 3 hour long 6-2; 5-7; 12-10 cause I was tired, lost focus and made errors because of it. I still won but it could've been a lot shorter and a better quality match. After that long match, had to play doubles and I got nothing left to give. Got 2nd place in doubles. Now everything on my body is hurting!!! :-(

I think my diet the whole weekend consisted mostly of sports nutrition bars, sports gel packs, Advocare O2 performance pills, arginine, EFS electrolytes, gatorade, muscle recovery pills, sleeping disturbance pills, vitamins, more vitamins, and loads of carbs and some coffee.

I'm glad it's over! I'm glad my mixed doubles team pulled me out of the line-up today. Good decision, Captain! I cancelled tennis practice for tomorrow and I am not touching a racquet for 2 days! :-)

OUCH!  I can't say I know exactly how you feel - but close.  I've been there, done that - so excited to play tennis that I signed up for too much and wore myself out.  But 12-10 in the final set?!?!?!  No, have not been there.  Good for you on winning that though!  In a few days call up that girl and get a rematch!  She won't know what hit her.  :-)

Get on with your bad self, Christina! You're not a Superhero are you?
