Tennisopolis : Tennis Social Network

If anyone would like to introduce themselves, this would be the place to do it. This area could serve as a good way to find other tennis partners in the area.

So list out as much info as you'd like to have considered by another potential tennis partner.

Cheers.

Hello,
I'm Maya. I live in Manhattan, west village area. I played in highschool, took tennis classes in college and have continued to play since. I guess I'm 3.5 or 4.0 on a good day but I haven't played all winter. If you would like to play (even today), please drop me a line at mayabalos@gmail.com

Best court for me is the Hudson River Park but willing to travel within Manhattan or Brooklyn.

Thanks,
Maya

Hey!

So, I just bought a new racquet for the first time in 15 years. I'm so proud!

I live in Billyburg and would totally like to hit some balls around with people nearby (I guess McCarren or whatever is close). Looks like there are a few people around here. Give me a shout and let's tennis it up!

...oh, and as far as skill level, I'm probably intermediate, I guess? I took lessons when I was a kid and played on my high school team for a little bit. I'm sure I can shake off the rust pretty quick.

So let me know if you're interested.

Best-
Shaun
25 years old baseliner. Played competitively in high school, looking for someone to hit consistent groundstrokes with, single set matches. preferably someone with good pace to get a good workout. can play after work in mcarren park most nights, would be up for clay play on the weekends on the west side.
Hey there!
I am moving to Prospect Heights in two weeks and would love to make some tennis connections. I am a 21-year-old who has played since childhood but am unsure of my skill level. I taught beginner lessons to children last summer and had a blast. I am hoping to determine my level and find others with similar skill to hit around with. I will be able to play in the mornings and on the weekends beginning May 22nd or so. Let me know if you want to hit around!

hello,my name is eric kievit and tennis is my favorite game. I live in the netherlands.
Hello all,

Moved out here from SF about a year ago and my tennis has suffered due to neglect. I'm 3.5 on the USTA rankings, but I'll hit with anyone under 4.5. I'm scrappy and fun to play with as I chase down most everything. Bit more of a defensive player, so I like long, quality rallies.

Anyone that can get the ball over the net is someone I want to play with.

Currently in the Upper West Side but I'll be moving next to Prospect Park in June but I'm willing to travel all over the city to play.
Hello,

My name is Kimberly G. and I've lived in Brooklyn all my life. I've played tennis since I was 16 and I love the sport. I'm currently a 3.5 player and I plan on captaining a 3.5 team for the USTA in Brooklyn. If anyone is interested in joining or hitting around, please drop me a line. I currently play at Lincoln Terrace, but I've played at Prospect Park on occasion.

Thanks!
Howdy, 24 and trying to get back into the game. When I used to play regularly i would probably have been a 3.0, I'd say 2.5 is fairly accurate for me now with some rust.

I live in Bay Ridge, so McKinney or under the Verazzano are good courts for me; but more then happy to come up to Prospect.

Looking for similar skill level, get some rallies in, get my stroke back and friendly sets.
Hello
Name is Kemar and I am new to the site...hopefully I can meet some people to play some good game of Tennis with
Hi Folks,

Rusty but looking to play in Brooklyn. I live near Prospect Park and can meet up. Looking for a relaxed re-introduction to the game.

Hi Brooklynites!

I'm new to this group and I'm not too sure how this works, but anyhoo... I'm 26, turning 27 this year, and am interested in practicing more during my free time. I guess I'm still pretty much a beginner, although I have taken at least a handful of lessons not too long ago. If I'd have to give myself a rating, I'd say I might be around 1.5. I'd love to establish a solid foundation in the basics, and I'd love to get there by playing! With more and more practice, I think I have a chance at actually being okay! The largest park I'm closest to would be Prospect Park, but I'd take the train to other parks too. I don't have a permit.
