I totally agree with you, everything you said. I love the Kuerten backhand and try my best to make my backhand like his. 

If only there was a serve and volleyer that could come in and force Nadal or Fed to return and pass under pressure, tennis would be much more interesting.

I love both of these players for different reasons. The obvious S&V game of samps and the full western full poly baseline game of Guga. Personally the full western 1hbh of Guga is the most beautiful shot in the game.

 

What i wouldnt give tho to see a Sampras or an Edberg type player in todays game. Return of serve is so easy these days cos they know the server is never coming in. Lots more mistakes in older games as there was a lot more pressure on the opponent.

One of the greatest Tour matches of all time. Kuerten mounting a comeback only to have Sampras barely close him off.
