We all love players we feel we have some (tiny) similarity to.....Gustavo Kuerten is probably my fave player and this is the reason why. Guga at his best.

Perhaps that windup with that preying mantis position to a dropped tip to trophy doesn't seem linked squarely to the shoulders, so it looks arm-y...
Mark, I agree but his fh is too safe and loopy to really penetrate the court and make it difficult, He relies too much on his ability to retrieve. When I look at this vid, these two are slugging angles.
Im worried this year for Murray, he could blow all away and win everything or more likely he will get niggling injuries due imo to the bulk he has put on. He looks like the Terminator!! I hope Im wrong but fitness doesnt mean muscle mass, look at guga a trim even skinny 6'2, 76kg..........
Kuerten serve......there's a nice feel to it although I do think he 'arms' it a touch looking for that extra pop.
I love Kuerten - if only he didn't need that hip surgery.
Such great angles. Agassi tried to play the angles game here and only fell into a trap. I feel like Murray could work some extreme angles into his game to make it more offensive.
No one ever talks about Kuerten's serve these days. I find it to be mechanically very satisfying. It's like a Sampras serve that doesn't require extra flexible shoulder inner rotation. First serves are totally fierce.
Masters Cup 2000. A great, great match!! Guga was just plain wicked on the court, backhand angles are sick!
