Australian Open Quarterfinal Action

Great day and the 2012 Australian Open Final!!! Kim Clisters shows her Australian fans that she still has some magic left as she takes out Caroline Wozniacki 6-3,7-6.
This puts Clisters in the Semi-Finals and sends Caroline into another press conference having to answer will she ever win a major? I think not...what do you think?

It was vintage Federer as he destroys Del Potro 6-4,6-3, 6-2. Wow is all I can say. This is Federer's ninth straight Semi-Final appearance at the Aussie Open. The longer he plays the more he racks up sick records. If you are counting at home he has 16 majors, 31 straight Quarterfinal or better appearances in majors, and 7 year end championships which is of course another record. Can you think of anyone in the history of sport who has a more impressive resume than Federer? If so comment below and let me know who...

Nadal had a tough match but still came out on Top against Berdych 6-7,7-6,6-4,6-3. This of course sets out our Classic Nadal vs Federer match up. Who do you think will win? I am going with Federer because I think his serve is on fire and his backhand is ready to stand up to the pressure.

See you tomorrow and please make sure to comment below...these articles get fun when you leave your opinion even if they are the complete opposite of mine. In fact, that is when it gets really fun!!!

Fed lost! Just got hammered in the second set. He didn't push hard enough in the third set tiebreaker.

Hope you're wrong too, Chin, 'cos my original pick is that Fed gets in the final. ;)

It will be a tough set but I think Rafa will take it. Rafa just has all the answers against Roger. I'm hoping I'm wrong this time though

So do you think Fed's improved down the line backhand is going to hold up against Rafa topspin? Or Fed just gonna pound Rafa's own backhand?

good stuff guys

In all seriousness, that Plexicushion court is playing slow enough for Nadal to play excellent defense. Any more faster, and Nadal might've lost last night.

Did you guys see how far back Nadal was playing on those returns, and still be able to get to the next shot to the other side? Dude, it plays slower than clay in the sun, just like Navratilova said.

Fed better eat his Wheaties. Nadal better get his first serve in more than he did with Berdych. I better get my soda bottle and munchies ready for a long match viewing. ;)

Agree Tim, I am calling a Rafa victory.

Nadal looks charged up, dredging that willpower over Berdych. Fed doesn't respond well to seeing that big and fearless willpower and relentlessness that Nadal has.

Well, time for Woz to get a bigger serve. Or something. But I don't feel sorry for her.

Fed will be around for another three or five years. He loves it too much. By then, there will be a new set of players.
