Robin Soderling keeps saying that he is getting closer and closer for each time he is facing Roger, he has lost 13 of their meetings and was able to win 14th time lucky at the Abu Dhabi Capitala tournament. But can you really give him credit for the win? First of all the tournament isn't more than a warmup for the year comming up in my opinion and when it really matters, Robins chances are slim, I mean just look at these highlights:
Total domination.
Robin has gotten better that is for sure, people are talking about him in the locker room and he has gained alot of respect. But I do not think that he is a match for A-game Roger Federer. He isn't even close, like some other guys (Rafa, Del Potro, Murray).
He has a long way to go until he is up there with the best guys. Yet again I see him make such strange errors, hitting slices and backhands that land outside the court, that just does not happen at the highest of levels.
