It can't happen and it won't happen. Nadal's legs are breaking down and he simply needs a rest. If he can't dominate on the red clay of Paris, there is no way he can win 7 straight on the green grass of Wimbledon. Besides, he just lost to Leyton Hewitt! 6-4,6-3. Uncle Tony thinks Rafa should hop on a plane and head back home. i.e SKIP WIMBLEDON. Exact quote: "If it's me, I'm (flying) to Mallorca."

You might say, hey Mark, you're stating the obvious. And maybe I am, but here is the real question: Is Nadal done? I mean is Nadal done with number one, done ruling the clay - has he lost his edge. HE LOST TO HEWITT!

Ive got new found admiration for Fish watching him live and hearing him do talks etc after and before matches. I liked him he looks so young in real life, on tele with that beard i always confused him with Kris Kritoifferson! probably spelt that like WimbleTon!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dean, re: hewitt. i hear you, but Jazz is right - hewitt not the same as he was.... and he never did well vs. nadal - bad matchup for him.

Richard, your picks match mine to a T - Fed, Murray, Roddick, Del Potro..... in that order.
Fish has the game but can definitely have a "bad day".
Blake - he's done.

Jazz, Nadal takes all matches seriously - the boy does not have an "off" button.

He had a knock up at Wimbledon with Murray 4-3 on seve Murray said when Nadal stopped.........
He'll be rusty but over 5 sets he is hard to beat. I dont see him winning, but can we see anyone out of the top 3 winning?? Nole never gets his act together, out very early last year, DP too slow for grass. Roddick good chance if the top 3 fall. Watched Mardy Fish play super stuff yesterday in Liverpool, but Murray was comfortable with him at Queens. Tommy Haas a good shout to go a long way if his draw is favourable. There are no Gorans any more the grass is slower.
Cant see past Fed, with Murray a close second, then I like the look of the big servers Rod, DP & Haas to go far, Cilic and Blake could do well, Fish will hopefully get into the second week, Tsonga has got the game but has he got the head?
The draw is out today and for the first time Im hoping Murray is in Nadals half.
and I hope Monfils and Nole have a good tourney. Gonna be interesting, weather here is rainy windy hot and cold changing every two minutes, could be a lottery on the outer courts.

Losing to Hewitt in 2004 is no shame but this is 2k9. Hewitt is done. However this is just an exhibition match so I don't put much stock in it. Nadal's camp does say that a decision will be made later today so we shall see. Maybe the greatest match of all time and its disappointing Aussie sequel have just taken too much out of the man. His knees may have nothing left to give top level tennis. It will be a nervous few months for the head honchos at the ATP.

Since when is it a shame to loose to Hewitt, especially when you've been out 3 weeks, HURTING!!! Fed is not a shoe in, i'm not predicting untill the tournament ends this year, But DON"T GET SICK IF IT"S RODDICK!!!!!!
