The last time Lleyton Hewitt beat Roger Federer was in 2003, in Melbourne Australia. That was a long time ago. It must suck to always be in the same draw as Roger, especially if you have lost the last 13 meetings. How do you prepare? I mean it must be so hard to be Hewitt at a time like this, homeground, cheered on by the whole crowd. This is your chance, this is your turn to show the world that you can do it, you really can. Can you imagine the pressure he must be feeling? The questions asked during pre-match interviews: "What will you do this time? Do you have a gameplan? Is it possible to have a gameplan against Federer? Hit as hard as you can and don't go for consistency, go for the lines. I really do want to believe that Lleyton has the chance, I'm a big fan of him and if there's someone I can accept Roger loosing against it is this guy. It would just be great to see him get far. But he never does nowadays, not in the big tournaments, because somwhere along the run, some guy named Roger Federer will stand in the way and ruin the day.
What is Lleyton doing wrong?
- Hitting to short?
- Serving too bad?
Is it possible for him to ever beat Roger Federer again? What do you guys think?

The seniors tour might not even be a safe bet for Lleyton. Fed has a a LONG memory and after Roger lost to Hewitt in Davis Cup play in Australia, leaving fed in tears. Roger seems to want to beat "Rusty" as bad as possible. Check out the USO 2004 with Ropger laying two bagels on Hewitt.

i hate to say that even if Hewitt were a better tennis player somehow right now, he still would not be able to beat Fed just from a psychological point of view. i think Lleyton would choke.

I wasn't able to watch the match, but I heard the commentators afterwards saying Lleyton needs 10 more mph's on all his shots includind his serve. Yes, Lleyton will one day beat Roger again, but I'm sad to report that it will be on the Seniors Tour.
