Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
Recent transplant from Denver, Colorado. Much, much less recent tennis player.
I am 26 years old, female, athletic and new to the city. Tennis has not been a sport I have played seriously since high school. However, I was once a very competitive player. My high school (in Colorado Springs) varsity team won the Colorado State 4A women's tennis championship almost anually. Actually, our men's team proved unstoppable as well, so I always had a wide variety of competitive players with whom to practice. My state championship win came my junior year when my doubles partner and I snached the title. Besides regularly competeting in various local/state tournaments back when, my sister also consistantly served up tough matches and a great reason to keep improving my game (well, until she played competitively in college and started kicking my butt without breaking a sweat).
I would love to get back into the game. Not only for the exercise, but also to regain a skill that used to be an important part of my life and to meet new people with similar interests here in Seattle, which is new to me!
It may take me a while to 'get my game back', but with challenging and patient partners and opponents, I have no doubt I will re-learn my strokes and techniques before too long.
Oh, and I will most certainly be the girl bringing her biggest fan to 'watch' as many matches/practices as possible. Of course, by 'fan' I mean my dog, who would certainly stop being such a fan if I were to go to a park, bring tennis balls and leave her at home...
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
Not bad.
On the court, I am a:
doubles partner, singles player
Relationship status:
Single

Hey Victoria, I have been looking for people to play tennis with. I live in the Queen Anne area and played in college but I haven't played in awhile. Let me know if you are interested.

Hi Victoria
How's your summer going? I'm looking to see if you would like to play tennis sometime, all my usual partners are out of town at the same time. I can play where ever you like, are you available during the day at all?
Lane
Hi Victoria, if you want to play in the Captiol Hill area or U district let me know. The last time I played competitively was in high school too, but the best my team ever did was 2nd in the state :(
