Summer '09

I met a new tennis partner last weekend, one who will challenge my game at the same time keep me fine tuned. While Jason and Guy play each other in the eastern time zone, I tirelessly work to hone my skills for the eventual meeting in which I will inevitably bash both of their brains in. They have no idea what lies in store for them. As for basketball, the great foot injury of '08 is a long distant memory, but has taught many valuable lessons of humility, courage, and… Continue

Healthy now

The big foot injury of '08 is long behind me now. I know an injury could always be somewhere right around the corner, but at this very moment my body is healthy, legs strong, and the foot/ankle are getting back the full range of motion. Lots and lots of basketball and running lately have given me good stamina, which is handy for long tennis matches. Looking forward to the spring season and getting out on the outdoor courts and league play. Being able to play indoors during the winter has kept… Continue

MY Injury

Posted on April 1, 2008 at 3:05pm 2 Comments

My tennis game is currently on hiatus. I pretty much destroyed my ankle last week, and I'll be out for at least a few weeks. I'm sad. Just as I was starting to get pretty good at tennis, and really good at basketball (even with my lack of height) I go and make a retarded move in a retarded game of crunch against some nice guys, but guys I probably shouldn't be playing ball with. I think I've gotten to the point athletically in both sports that I should only seriously engage in competition with… Continue

Guyzer recently went to school. The professor: Jason Powell. The lesson: two to six. JPU eagerly awaits the arrival of prospective student Andres Dominguez to start his long overdue lessons. School is always in session, suckers

Hey brother, I need a favor. Can you hook me up with a compilation of your favorite Stern prank phone calls. JP played me a few that made me cry and gasp and convulse. Jason and I might play this weekend. I'll let you know how much I beat him by.

To make tennis more interesting and more appealing, they should add a 5th major and the surface should be broken beer bottles. I wonder if Ralphie would dominate?

Hi! It's great to have you here! This is my *new* generic welcome message that, fortunately, is required due to the enormous growth. We're growing by 100 new members a day, and I just couldn't keep up. But that's a good thing. ;-)

Invite your friends too. We’re trying to reach 20,000 members by Wimbledon. :-)
If you need any help, let me know.

You just joined a super fun and infectious "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you.

To get started, please upload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Look through the Groups or create a Group of your own and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.

Here’s a primer on how to meet other players.

The Forum is really the hub of the online community. Other places to explore: post youtube videos, add your own photos, write your own blog.

…and just hang out and meet great people.

Welcome aboard,
Mark
