For me, it was because of my dad. I will always remember swinging the T-2000 my dad had. I also remember my dad laughing about the complaint Evert had of Navratilova's fitness. And I will always remember watching the tiebreaker, the Battle of 18-16 between Borg/McEnroe. My little brother and I was rooting for Borg. He and I mimicked the kneeling victory over and over in the living room afterwards.
First: McEnroe vs. Connors 1979 US Open
Second: Navratilova Evert 1979 Wimbledon
Third: McEnroe vs. Borg 1980 Wimbledon

I can only think of one. I saw Lendl play Steve Denton in my hometown, Corpus Christi, texas (1986). He was playing an exhibition to raise money for Terry Kalenda, who needed a heart transplant. Terry got his heart transplant and is still alive to this day. Steve Denton is the head tennis coach at Texas A &M University, in College Station, Texas.
