Predicting the future - Can Novak Djokovic take Rafael Nadals Crown...
Although we were not expecting 2008 wimbledons grand slam. I think this maybe one of the greatest matches in the making. It didn't happen in 2011, but in 2012 Novak has his eye set on Roland Garros, can anyone stop him?
Novak was 18-1 on clay last year but did not reach the final at Roland Garros, and although he is the most dominant player in our sport today. The real question we ask is not if Novak will complete the grand slam and win his sixth Major title, but will Nadal buckle under the pressure as king and lose?
I feel Nadal the king of the terre battue has more to lose then gain, and that is why I think he will lose this year in the french open.

This is the question, isn't it? I just hope that they are both healthy and fresh. Last year there was a sense that Nole lost (to Fed right?) because he was getting drained from all the victories and the long weeks of winning. RG would complete the career grand slam for Djokovic, so there will be a lot of pressure on him too.
Who else could upset the apple cart? Federer... and I am not even going to say the M word.

Rafa holds. Djoko will have to go through Fed again, and it won't happen again. Besides that, Murray had given Djoko his hardest time on clay before he lost to Fed. So, even if we don't want to say it, there is still that. And now some others are gaining confidence on clay. I mean who would've thought Isner would become a giant killer, and especially on clay?

What side of the bracket will Isner be on, when the French Open starts? Presuming that he stays around in between the 9th and 11th ranking. Does anyone know?

That would be impossible to know until perhaps a week before the FO. I believe the seedings in the FO is not solely dependent on ATP world ranking. The favorites would be ranked ahead of a higher ranked player if the favorite has a history of performing better at the FO.

Let's just see how the clay court season pan out first. Of course, I will still be cheering for the second best clay court player, the Chairman Fed, to win the French. But we all know the Spanish bull is in his head so we should see. May the Tennis Gods have mercy and make it a bit more competitive for the Fed this year if he should play Rafa again in the final. ;-)
