Last night I watched JB get absolutely hammered by the young Argentinian Leonardo Mayer. My question is, does his personality ie miserable persona give an advantage to his opposing player?
The young guy played great and is gonna be a star I think but surely JB should of held it together and gritted out a win. I watch him and he looks like he would rather be somewhere else, where Nadal is almost on the floor, eyes peeled, legs spread, ready to pounce JB looks like he's waiting to get served at the bar!
Ther's not much hope on the American men's side of things but A-Rod has been impressing me, JB should take a hard look at him and his drive and passion is obviously evident. Are there any youngsters coming through the ranks? Who do you support other than the US players? Is it a 'close to home' scenario ie Monaco, Gonzalez, Lopez etc?
Oh PS if anyone picked JW Tsonga no matter how good he is to beat Monaco in the next round in the Bracketology department then I will hold my neck out and say NO WAY JOSE!!!!!

LOL!
James is a bit ticked off looking on the court lately - on ALL surfaces - although it makes sense on the clay. James sucks on the clay. If you think about it, one of his strengths is his movement - but that is erased on the orange stuff. we jsut dont learn clay court tennis here - the sliding is tough to learn late.

no, we americans (of the USA variety) do not feel particularly closer to the south americans just because we share the same hemisphere! ;-) although i do root for Mexico in the world cup - boy, that can be painful...

so, you say Monaco over Tsonga? Good pick I think.
Once again JB continues to confound. James makes the finals of Estoril and then a1st rd flameout at RG. This is reminiscent of the AO. JB played brilliantly against Andreev and then goes back to swing for the fences against Tsonga. James' scoliosis pretty much makes it hard for him slump aroud the court, but can just see the disappointment in his body language. The Americans are short changing themselves by not learning how to play on dirt. I hate the stuff too but that's not how I make my living. James has the best speed of all the top Yanks if he'd adjust to clay he'd have great results.

Happy Tsonga won, I didnt expect it, I fancied one of his major slumps with the consistent hitting of monaco.
