Hello everyone, I was watching the U.S open and I am shocked to see that today's players can't keep a rally going. Way too many miss hits and most of the male players hit a two handed backhand like the women!!! Shame on you.

with regards

thanks lendl! glad to have you back on the scene and look fwd to seeing you on the seniors tour. i think if nadal plays himself, we'll have nice healthy rallies like from back in the day. :) it's easy to say all players want to crush the ball and win the point asap so there's no time for strategy and a rally to develop, but i just dont see it. there are definitely rallies that happen, but i think typical fans want to see excitement and shot-making, not the sustained rally. laters....
I guess I would have to disagee with you on this point. I have always enjoyed going to professional tennis tournaments I have always enjoyed watching players hit during warmup and also during their 'practice sessions' because they are so fluid and consistent. Not sure where you came up with professionals not able to keep a rally. The short warm up period before the match is generally designed for players to just warm up, after a few minutes you might see them hitting to the sides a bit to kind of get in the groove. Just my 2cents.
