This is big news for all tennis fans, and for anyone involved in broadcasting. Comcast must carry the Tennis Channel on their cable network in the basic package. Comcast refused to do so and relegated TC to premium sports packages which TC considered "the kiss of death" for advertising. Turns out that Comcast is a partial owner of the Golf Channel and has that in the basic package; this may have helped TC's case that, since they were an independent channel and not owned by Comcast, they were getting mistreated. The FCC agreed. This is the first time that the FCC ruled against a cable provider in this way.
